CH CHEVROL BEL AIR 2018AC
Features
Château Chevrol Bel Air, located in Néac, boasts a 30-hectare terroir spread across three appellations: Lalande de Pomerol, Montagne Saint-Emilion, and Bordeaux Supérieur.
The 20-hectare vineyard in Lalande de Pomerol rests on silico-clay soils with a subsoil of slag and gravel. The planting is predominantly Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with 10% of Cabernet Sauvignon and Côt.
In terms of viticulture, the vines are on average 40 years old. Harvesting is done on extremely ripe fruit, with selective sorting at the vineyard. Fermentation and maceration occur in temperature-controlled stainless steel or cement tanks for a period of three weeks.
The wines are then aged in stainless steel tanks paired with oak barrels to preserve fruit aromas, a subtle oakiness, and ensure controlled oxygenation of the wine.
