Founded in 1933 by Louis Gambert de Loche, the Cave de Tain benefits from the expertise of nearly 250 winegrowers spread over around 1000 hectares of vines, producing Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas and Saint-Péray appellations, as well as vins de pays. Terroir : A wide variety of soils: clay-limestone and sandy in the canton of St Donat, alluvial in the canton of Tain, granite in the canton of Tournon. Vinification: 100% destemmed harvest. Traditional fermentation in vats at 28°C. Regular pumping over to gently extract the fine tannins and preserve the freshness of the fruit. Long maceration lasting 20 to 25 days, followed by regular tastings to decide when the wine should be run off.ageing: In stainless steel vats on the lees, to preserve the fruit and freshness.
