The terroir of Saint-Émilion, with its clay-limestone and siliceous gravel soils, combined with the cultivation methods used, produces fine, fruity wines that are consistent from one year to the next.
Since 2010, Hubert de Boüard, oenologist and co-owner of Château Angélus, neighbouring Cheval Noir, has been involved in the production of Cheval Noir Saint-Émilion wines, contributing his expertise and know-how.
Once selected, the different batches are blended and aged with the aim of preserving the fruit, balance and roundness.
The quality of the partner producers, the expertise of the tasting committee in selecting the wines and the ageing process ensure consistent quality over the years, while respecting the typical characteristics of the terroir and meeting consumer expectations.
