
Located in Capian, 30km southeast of Bordeaux, this 16th century castle was once the hunting lodge of Jean-Louis de Nogaret de la Valette, Duke of Épernon. Restored in the 17th century, the property was bought by the Suau family in 1637. Over time, the Suau castle had several buyers before being purchased by the Bonnet de Mazamet family in 1986. Since 2014, the current majority shareholder is an Argentinian businessman, Alejandro Bulgheroni Terroir: The 66 hectare estate rests on clay-gravel hillsides. Since 2008, Château Suau has been working on an organic wine production approach. Since 2018, all wines produced on the property have been Vegan.
