The Saint-Émilion terroir, made up of clay-limestone, silica and gravel soils, is ideal for producing fine, fruity wines that are consistent from one year to the next.
Since 2010, Hubert de Boüard, oenologist and co-owner of Château Angélus, a neighbour of Cheval Noir, has been involved in making the wines of Cheval Noir Saint-Émilion, contributing his expertise and know-how.
After a meticulous selection process, the different batches are blended and matured with the aim of preserving their fruitiness, balance and roundness.
Thanks to the quality of the partner producers, a rigorous selection by the tasting panel and controlled ageing, the quality of the wines remains constant over the years, while respecting the typicity of the terroir and consumer expectations.
