AMIRAL DE BEYCHEVELLE 2EME VIN
Features
The lands of Château Beychevelle extend over 250 hectares, around 90 of which are planted with vines. The heart of the vineyard is located on two plateaus of deep Garonne gravel from the Güntz era on the edge of Gironde, the preferred terroir for Cabernet Sauvignons. Viticulture: Sustainable cultivation of vines and organic farming on 13 of the vineyards. No herbicides used. The harvest is manual and selective depending on the grape varieties, the age of the vines and the terroir. Vinification: Vinification is carried out to measure depending on the vintage. Aging is carried out in French oak barrels for a period of 18 months for Beychevelle and 12 months for Admiral de Beychevelle. Château Beychevelle is aged in 50% new barrels and Amiral de Beychevelle in 30%. The wine is then fined with the egg whites with traditional 'candle' racking. The wines are bottled in spring.
