THE BOTANIST GIN D'ISLAY

The Botanist is a handcrafted gin made at Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. It differs from other gins by using 31 aromatic ingredients in its composition, compared with 6 to 12 in a classic gin, including a blend of 22 plants (berries, petals and leaves) from the Isle of Islay. How it's made: These hand-picked botanicals undergo a slow, traditional distillation process lasting 17 hours, at low pressure, along with the nine other ingredients. The unique bottle is marked with the Latin names of the plants used in its design.
