The idea of creating a gin in the pure English tradition in the heart of the Black Forest, in Germany, was born in the 1950s from the eccentric imagination of an expatriate British officer, Montgomery Collins. This Shwarzwald Dry Gin is made in Germany at the Wild Monkey Distillery in the heart of the Black Forest from 47 aromatic plants, distilled in 4 small hybrid carterhead stills (iron stills fitted with rectifying columns) and aged in earthenware jars for 100 days.
