Situated in the commune of Castres-sur-Gironde, Château Ferrande stands at the end of a majestic avenue of cedars, surrounded by a variety of carefully tended gardens. Seduced by the exceptional quality of this terroir, recognised as one of the finest in the appellation, the Castel family acquired the property in 1992. Ferrande's real treasure lies in its unique soil, composed of Güntzian Graves pebbles, which give the wines power and elegance. With a high planting density (9,600 vines/ha), the Château maximises the concentration and excellence of its grapes. A member of the Union des Grands Crus, Château Ferrande is easily identifiable by its famous yellow label, a testament to its reputation and prestige.
