Description
Château Chevrol Bel Air, located in Néac, extends over a 30-hectare terroir, spread over three appellations: Lalande de Pomerol, Montagne Saint-Emilion, and Bordeaux Supérieur.   The 20 hectare vineyard in Lalande de Pomerol is based on silico-clay soils, with a subsoil of clinker and gravel. The grape varieties are mainly composed of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.   In terms of viticulture, the vines are on average 40 years old. The harvest is carried out on extremely ripe fruit, with selective sorting in the vineyard.   Fermentation and maceration take place in thermoregulated stainless steel or cement vats for three weeks.   The wines are then aged in stainless steel vats, in combination with oak barrels, in order to preserve the fruity aromas, a discreet woodiness, and allow measured oxygenation of the wine.
